NEW ALBANY DAVIS, JAMES D., 71, died Saturday, November 5, 2005, at Floyd Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Eddyville, KY, and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Davis retired in 1996, from BF Goodrich after 40 years of employment and was a member of the Bonnie Sloan American Legion in New Albany. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Deano Davis; sons, David and Daryle Davis; daughter, Terri Amody; mother, Lola Davis; brothers, Cliff and Larry Davis; sister, Ruthie Francis; aunt, Lucille Woller; grandchildren, Jay, Brandi, Devin and Deacon; and two great-grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kraft Funeral service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
