Mr. James Francis Age 84, of Suwanee, GA, formerly of Elmira, NY, died Saturday, June 10, 2006. Mr. Coughlin was a graduate of St. Mary's College. A decorated U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Mr. Coughlin served in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. He participated in the battles at Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal and was wounded and received a Purple Heart in the battle at Guam. Mr. Coughlin later retired as president of Murray Ohio Mfg. Company in Brentwood, TN, after a 35-year career. He is survived by his daughter, Chris C. Hills of Nashville, TN; his sons, James F. Coughlin, II of Duluth, GA, Stephen M. Coughlin of Longwood, FL, and Sean B. Coughlin of Duluth; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Benedicts Catholic Church, with Fr. Paul Flood officiating.
