COUGHLIN James Albert Coughlin age 70 beloved husband of the late Carol Ann Coughlin of Stratford entered eternal rest Tuesday November 29, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport October 3, 1941 son of the late Albert "Bud" and Ann Tibor Coughlin. James attended St James School and graduated from Stratford High School. He retired from the A&P Tea Company after being employed for 20 years were he also served as a Union Steward and retired from American Frozen Foods after 18 years of service. James was a avid reader and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers, Boston Celtics and more importantly a die hard Red Sox fan and was lucky to see all win championships in recent years. He loved music, cars, good food, traveling and his many excursions to the casinos. James was a devoted father and grandfather and nothing more pleased him then the time he spent with his family. Survivors include hi daughter Kathleen Vazquez and her husband William, Sons Patrick Coughlin and his wife Theresa, Michael Coughlin and his wife Melissa, and James Coughlin. Six grandchildren Nicholas and Anthony Vazquez, Shelby and James Coughlin, Owen and Tyler Navarro. A sister in law Marsha Duggan and her husband Tom. Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday December 3, 2011 at 9:30 am from the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford and at 10:30 am in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Friday from 3 to 7 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT
