Elberton - James Carter, 74, of Popular Springs Road, died Saturday, May 22, 2004. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Delores Chase Carter, Elberton; two daughters, Marilyn C. Dyar and Marsha C. Vassar, both of Hartwell; a son, James Carter, Hartwell; a sister, Jean Peeples, Royston; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
