DAVIS, James Argil 85, of Brandon, passed away June 6, 2011. He was born in Columbus, GA, on July 18, 1925, to Will B. Davis and Eva Mae Miles Davis. He served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and the U. S. Air Force. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1981. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gladys Davis; grandson, John Reinhold; son-in-law, Bob Reinhold; and sister, Nelma Odom. He is survived by his brother, Hildon Davis; son, James R. "Boe" Davis; daughters, Myra Jo Davis, Dena Jill Davis, and Nina Jean Reinhold; one granddaughter, Nickie English (Marlon); three great-grandchildren, Riann Reinhold, Lexus and Xavier English; many nieces and nephews; and his extended family and friends. "He fought a long and courageous battle, not complaining once about his condition. He will be missed so much. We love you Dad." A graveside service at Limona Cemetery with full military honors will be held at a later date. stowersfh.com
