LITTEL , Jacqueline Mae (nee Morin) October 2, 1959 - August 6, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacquie, who died peacefully on Thursday, August 6 at the Sarcee Hospice. She leaves behind her husband Frank, daughters Melody, Miriam (Bryan), Laura, Jessica, and her foster daughter Amanda. She also leaves behind her parents Lloyd and Caroll, brothers Gerry (Sylvia), Greg (Didi), sister Lauretta (Ron) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws, including her much loved mother-in-law, Hetty. Jacquie battled brain cancer for the last nine months of her life, and throughout her ordeal she exhibited humour, joy, and faith to all encountering her. Even in the last weeks of her life, Jacquie showed herself to be a woman of extraordinary strength, courage, passion and love. An obituary can never fully capture the essence of who Jacquie was. She lived life to the full, deeply loved her family, the many teens and young adults whose lives she impacted at Camp Chestermere, her coworkers at Mount Royal College, and many others who knew her as a day-home parent, Sunday School Teacher, musician, worship leader, student, mentor, and friend. A celebration of her life will be held at River Park Church, 3818 - 14A Street S.W. on Saturday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. In light of her ever-present "Joie de Vivre", the family requests that those who feel comfortable doing so would wear bright colours to this celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the "Jacquie's Legacy" Bursary fund at Camp Chestermere. This fund supports College and University students who make financial sacrifices to serve at camp.
