Smith, formerly of Ithaca, NY, where she was a docent for several years at the Museum of the Earth, died peacefully in her sleep on March 26, 2011 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Robert F. Smith of Cornell University and loving mother of Gail S. Miller, the late Robert F. Smith Jr., Wendy S. Meehan and the late Gregory J. Smith. Proud grandmother of Dean and Brian Miller and Cheryl and Douglas Meehan, and great-grandmother of Lindsay and Cameron Miller and Minna and Kelan Sneed. Visitation will be at Bangs Funeral Home in Ithaca on April 2, 2011, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a short service to follow at the same location at 11:00 a.m.
