Jackie Paul Martin, 53, of Mount Croghan, S.C. passed away Dec. 3, 2009, following a sudden illness. Mr. Martin was a 1974 graduate of Dawson County High School and was employed as a commercial truck driver. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Ruby, S.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Irene Martin. He is survived by his daughter, Jackie J. Martin of Ruby, S.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Judy Mills of Hull; sisters and brother-in-law, Jane and Brad Bruce of Cumming, Jean Walden of Dahlonega; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Nix officiating. Bearden Funeral Home in Dawsonville is in charge of arrangements.
