Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Village Chapel for Jackie Faye Williams, 69, Gadsden, who died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2009. Dr. R. Gary Ashley will officiate. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Williams was the daughter the late John and Minnie Ashley. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Williams; five brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by sons, Richard Wayne (Sherie) Williams and Pete (Donna) Williams; grandchildren, Matthew, Chelsea, Andrew and Alexandra Williams; brother, Raymond (Sue) Ashley; sisters, Roetta Given, Tincy Downs and Dorothy Scott; special friends, Mary Nell and Gail; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to Riverview Regional Medical Center Trauma Team. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
