JOHN WILLIAM HARKENRIDER II "HARKO" "CUJO" HAMMOND, IN John William Harkenrider II "Harko" "Cujo", age 53, of Hammond, died on Thursday, July 31st. Born on February 27, 1961, the fifth child to Paul and Anna of Lansing, John was preceded in death by his father and his brothers: Paul and Michael. John is survived by his mother; children: John (Jen), Joe (Vicki), and Linnae (Martin); former wife, Sandra Anderson; and four grandchildren. Also survived by siblings: Daniel, Mary, Teresa, Katrina, Angela, Margreta, Thomas, and Matthew; godson/nephew, Michael; numerous other nephews and nieces, and countless friends. A tireless worker, gifted athlete and dedicated coach, heartfelt musician, avid fisherman, caring dog-owner, and man of faith, John will most be remembered for his overarching love and spirit. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6th, at Our Lady of Knock Church in Calumet City, IL. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, Our Lady of Knock Parish, or Mt.
