John William Carter, 85, of Florence, passed away Jan. 28, 2009. He was a member of Underwood Baptist Church, the Masons and a veteran of World War II.A private service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at K and P Cemetery in Russellville.Mr. Carter is survived by his sons, Neil Carter, of Moulton, Steve Carter, of Birmingham; daughters, Deb Walls and Terri Curry, both of Florence.Arrangements by Greenview Funeral Home.
