John H. Finney, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on April 8, 2003 at his home. He was 49. Mr. Finney was born in New Rochelle on March 18, 1954 to Hugo J. and Laura M. Clark Finney. Mr. Finney was a Police Officer for the New Rochelle Police Department for 23 years, having attained the rank of Detective in 1990. In addition to working as a Detective, Mr. Finney coached baseball for both the New Rochelle and Westchester County Departments and was a CPR Instructor for the Police Department. Mr. Finney graduated from Iona College and subsequently earned three Master's degrees from John Jay, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Mr. Finney is survived by his wife, the former Ann Marie Fields, whom he married on October 15, 1983; his parents, Hugo and Laura and his mother-in-law, Ann Fields of New Rochelle. He is also survived by three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law. Visiting hours will be Thursday and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, 9:30 AM at Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery. SISTO & PAINO, DIRECTORS
