FENNIMORE III, JOHN E., 74, of Orlando, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 25, 2005 after a lengthy battle with leukemia. He was born November 12, 1930, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and was raised in upstate New York where he completed high school. He volunteered to join the Air Force during the Korean conflict. He then attended the University of Florida, graduating with dual degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. While a student in college, he served two terms as Mayor of Flavet III, a Florida Veteran's Housing Village and was a member of Florida Blue Key. He moved to Orlando in 1959 and was an engineer with Martin Marietta, now Lockheed Martin, for thirty years and retired in January of 1989. As a member of Downtown Baptist Church Orlando, he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, and worked with Evangelism Outreach Ministries. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris; and his four children, sons, Karl (Kathy) Fennimore of Orlando, FL, Marc (Pam) Fennimore of Wildwood, FL, and daughters, Sandi (John) Kemp of Navarre, FL; and Julee (Peter) Lyons of Asheville, NC. He is also survived by sister, Patricia Ray of Melbourne, FL; brother, Robert Fennimore of Norristown, PA; and ten grandchildren. There will be a graveside service for family and friends at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, FL at 10AM on Monday, June 27, 2005 followed by a memorial service at Downtown Baptist Church at 2:30PM on Monday, June 27, 2005. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at 1311 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605, Attn: Office of Donor Services or to Downtown Baptist Church, Orlando, Florida.
