Final services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2005, at the Brown Funeral Home, 506 Arlington Ave., Greenville, for John Bell Carter, 64, who died at Greenville Memorial Hospital on July 14, 2005.Mr. Carter, the husband of Mary Ann Carter of the home on Lee Street in Greenville, and stepfather to Kenneth Jerome Fuller, worked for the Greenville Sanitation Department for 38 years before retiring about five years ago. Other survivors include a brother, Hagler Carter of Greenville; and two sisters, Annie Catherine Lomax of Greenville and Bessie Lee Carter of New York.
