John Carter Titusville John Carter born October 30,1923 in Aldridge, Alabama, passed away June 07, 2010 in Titusville, Fl. Served in the U.S Army during WWII and upon his return married Marilyn LaPorte in Miami. John worked in insur ance and banking having founded Jefferson National bank along with his high school friend, Arthur Courshon. After retiring, John and Marilyn lived in Wyoming and Colorado, later returning to Central Florida to be near family. John was active in boating, fishing and anything outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 63 yrs, Marilyn, sons Michael (Amy), Wesley, Kevin (Virginia), 7 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26th, 11 a.m. at the American Legion hall in Titusville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brevard County Alzheimers foundation.
