John C. Valentine, III, age 47, of Duluth, GA, went to be with God in Heaven on Wednesday, September 10, 2003. He was the devoted husband of 24 years of Jane-marie Barry and loving father of Trevor, Michael, Rebecca, Sean and Matthew. He is also survived by his parents William and Anne Valentine of Lawrenceville, GA; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Beth Valentine of Lawrenceville, GA; sister and brother-in-law Nancy Valentine and Don McDaniel of Lawrenceville, GA; parents-in-law John and Jane Barry of Duluth, GA; and other family members. John was very active in Troop 419 of the Boy Scouts of America serving as Assistant Scout Master and earning the Woodbadge. He was a soccer coach for several years with West Gwinnett Soccer Association. He was Vice President of Valentine Enterprises in Lawrenceville for 18 years and a member of Catholic Church of St. Monica in Duluth, GA.
