JOHN A. (JACK) COOPER, BaSC, P.Eng Passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Madeline Compeau for 57 years. Jack will lovingly be remembered by his daughter Sandra Cernick, her husband Robert, grandson Matthew, sister-in-law June Cooper and sister-in-law Shirley Wilson (Al). Predeceased by his brother Donald W. Cooper. Jack was born in Toronto and after graduating from Riverdale Collegiate served in the army for 2 years. He then attended the University of Toronto graduating in 1948 as a Civil Engineer. He enjoyed a successful career in the road building and paving industry. He was a man of virtue who placed special importance on family and recognized there was no joy quite like friendship. He was an active man and especially enjoyed playing tennis with his friends at The Boulevard Club. Jack is resting at the funeral home of Skinner and Middlebrook Ltd., 128 Lakeshore Road East (1 block west of Hurontario Street). Visitation will take place on Monday, April 27th at 10 a.m., service will follow immediately after in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment at Springcreek Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's Memorial Presbyterian Church in Port Credit.
