Obituary of Joe-Lee Jordan


JORDAN, JOE LEE, 84, passed away November 20, 2004 in Florida from complications from Parkinson's Disease. Mr. Jordan was born December 1, 1919 in Tifton, GA. He was a retired US Navy Chief Petty Officer, serving in WWII on U.S. Boise. He was a member of American Legion Post 286. He loved to read and taught his children a deep appreciation of American history. He was also a member of Pine Castle Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Joan Jordan Wood of Orlando, FL, Sandra Lee Hagen and her husband, Ludwig of Siesta Key, FL, Joe Carl "Buzz" Jordan of Mobile, AL, and Dr. James Daryl Jordan and his wife, Ronna of White Pine, TN; sister, Lillian Mullins of Sarasota, FL; nine grandchildren, Jordan Wood Stroup and her husband, Wyatt, Jessica Camryn Wood, Katrina Hagen, Jamie Hagen, Alexander Hagen, Nicholas Thomas Jordan, Hannah Michaela Jordan, Ethan Grant Jordan, and Lincoln Austin Jordan; three great grandchildren, Morgan Paige Jaszewski, Lillian Ruth Harrison Wood and Natalie Kaelynn Stroup and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his wife, Ethel Catherine Jordan. Memorial Service will be held in Chula, Georgia. BALDWIN-FAIRCHILD FUNERAL HOME, PINE CASTLE CHAPEL, 5800 Hansel Avenue.
