JoAnne Frederick, a devoted wife, beloved mother and treasured grandmother, and longtime resident of Yorktown, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2009. She was 80. Born in Mamaroneck on March 19, 1928 to Joseph and Margaret (Tezzi) Marchesiello, she graduated from Mamaroneck High School in 1947. She married Roy Frederick at St. Vito's Church in Mamaroneck. JoAnne worked for 20 years as a telephone operator for New York Tel before moving to Yorktown in 1972 to raise her children. Later, JoAnne resumed her work as an operator working for the Yorktown Answering Service until becoming a proud grandmother in 1991 when she devoted her time to helping to raise her grandchildren- her greatest prides and joy. She is the cherished sister of Domenic, Virginia, Theresa and Loretta. She survived by her loving husband Roy of Yorktown, dear sons Dennis (Kathy) of Albrightsville, PA, Edward (Victoria) of Yorktown and Joseph of Yorktown, adoring grandchildren, Joseph, Edward, Kaitlin, Samantha, Amanda and Andrew and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark Funeral Home, Inc. in Yorktown. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Stone Church on Tuesday at 10 AM followed by internment at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY.
