<!-- FH = Abbey Funeral Home --><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Joan M. JordanSeptember 8, 2013Joan M. Jordan, 81, passed away Sunday September 8th at Westminster Oaks in Tallahassee. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday September 27 at 10:00 am in the Hunt Chapel at Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral. A native of Elmira, New York, she graduated from Arnot Ogden School of Nursing. Joan moved to Michigan and later New York before settling in Cape Coral in 1965. She worked in Ft. Myers at Lee Memorial Hospital until the Cape Coral Hospital was built. Joan was active in Faith Presbyterian Church and served many roles through her years as a church deacon. She loved tending her plants, trying new recipes, decorating for Christmas and picnics at the beach. Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Richard L. Jordan, she relocated to Westminster Oaks in 2008 to be near her family. Survivors include her daughter, Danielle J. Jennings (Jeffrey) of Tallahassee, three grandchildren, Kyra Jennings and Lucy Jennings of Washington, D.C., and Matthew Jennings of Tallahassee.
