SMITH, JIMMIE SUE Born March 6, 1943, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the age of 69. Jimmie Sue was a member of Calvary Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Joe Smith; her brother, Buddy Harris; 2 sisters: Mollie Hall and Joan Phillips; and 2 grandsons: Braxton Purser and Jason Purser. Jimmie Sue is survived by 6 children: Mary Sloan (Don), Dennis Myrick (Ginger), Karen Myrick Purser, Keith Myrick, Susan Harden (Kenny), and Valire Florence (David); 22 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; her brother, Carl Harris (Sharon); 4 sisters: Faye Hill, Jean Tolbert, Betsy Beck, and Pat Sergeant; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. Visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, with funeral services on Saturday, May 19, 2012 beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home and burial at Crooked Creek Cemetery. >>
