Jim TaylorDanvilleFuneral for James Edward "Jim" Taylor, 78, of Danville will be Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Chris Martin and the Rev. Curtis Stanford officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.Mr. Taylor, who died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at his residence, was born April 4, 1934, in Cowan, Tenn., to James Meredith Taylor and Hazel Helen Sons Taylor. He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Heath Taylor, his parents, stepfather, and one brother, Tommy Graves. He moved to Alabama in 1961, and retired from Wolverine. He was a member of Walden Chapel Baptist Church, an avid hunter, and a veteran of the Korean War.He is survived by his wife, Diane Linderman Taylor; two sons, James Shannon Taylor and wife, Courtney, of Danville and Jonathan Shane Taylor of Danville; one daughter, Meredith DeeAnna Pace of Danville; one adopted daughter, Kaye Akins and husband, Jason, of Cullman; six grandchildren, Katlyn Taylor, D.J. Pace, Annabelle Pace, Gage Taylor, Kade Taylor and Sydney Jacobs and husband, Tyler; three brothers-in-law, Rondal, Dewayne and Mike Linderman; and one sister-in-law, Phyllis Matheny.Pallbearers will be Wade Linderman, Keith Eddy, Tony Linderman, Mark Mitchell, Ben Guyse and Brian Alexander.
