Obituary of Jerry Carter


Jeremy David Carter, 58, of 3104 Myrtlewood, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at his home. Born in Danville, Ill., he was a graduate of Indiana University and served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a real estate broker and a very active member of Northside Baptist Church, where he served as an Elder. He is survived by his wife, Sue E. Carter, of the home; two sons, Matthew David Carter and his wife Trudy, of Greenville, and Joshua David Carter and his wife Amanda, of Greenville; one daughters, Leah Elizabeth Allen and her husband Matthew, of Denver, Colo.; one granddaughter, Delaney James Carter; mother, Helena R. Carter, of Peoria, Ill.; and three brothers, Jay Dee Carter of Ocala, Fla., Dr. Phillips Lee Carter of Phoenix, Ariz., and William David Carter of Peoria, Ill. He was the son of the late James David Carter and was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachelle Lynn Carter. Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Northside Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Dan Stammann. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family is at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church Missions Fund, 4521 Liberty Highway, Anderson, SC 29621. - Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel.
