ANDERSON, Jeanne Varner Walker, 82, died Monday October 3, 2005, after an extended illness. Jeanne was born and raised in Montgom-ery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert King Ander-son, Colonel, USAF, Ret. Jeanne was very active in the Retired Offi-cers Wives Club, was an avid golf-er, and enjoyed her (golden year÷ experiences in higher education. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Reed Wil-banks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The fami-ly will receive friends from 10:00 v 11:00 am Thursday before the funer-al at Leak Memory Chapel. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her son, Van Anderson and his wife, Kathryn Sellers, Birmingham; her daughter, Kimberly Anderson-Abell; her broth-er, James E. Walker, Jr. (Betty); her in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. S. Jenkins (El-owise) Anderson, Charlotte, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Warren C. (De-lores) Anderson, Tallahassee, FL. She has several nieces and neph-ews.
