Funeral services for Jeanne F. Miller who passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 will be Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with the Reverend Father Don Lyon officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call today (Friday evening) from 6-8P.M. at the Lankford Funeral Home, 220 Easst New York Ave, DeLand. Mrs. Miller was born on October 13, 1929 in Delaware, Ohio. Her twin sister died at birth. She attended Sunbury and Richwood schools. In 1950 she graduated from White Cross Nursing School (now Riverside) in Columbus, Ohio. She and I. Maurice Miller were married on December 17, 1950 and lived in Washington D.C. until 1960 when they moved to Miami, Florida. Jeanne worked as a Registered Nurse at Doctor's Hospital in Washington D.C., Parkway General in Miami, and Fish Memorial Hospital in DeLand. Jeanne was involved in church activities and the Girl Scouts in Miami. In DeLand she was an active member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and Garden Clubs. She was predeceased by her husband, I. Maurice Miller in 2007. She is survived by two sons, David of Montgomery, AL and Ross of Prattville, AL.; daughter, Margaret Ricciardelli of DeLand; brother, Steven Fisher of Grand Rapids, MI; seven grandchildren and two great-grand-children.
