Janet M. Carter-Harris, daughter of the late Irdell and Allie McClellan, departed this life January 24, 2006 in Stafford, VA. A longtime resident of New Rochelle, where she graduated the public schools. Formerly united in marriage to Julian G. Carter, who predeceased her and surviving this union are a son, Cory Norman and daughter, Beth Hillary. Formerly employed for the New Rochelle Board of Education and Longines Wittnauer Watch Co. Active with the Bethesda Baptist Church in several capacities. United in marriage to James I. Harris, who survives, along with his five children and other extended family. Family to receive friends Tuesday 7 to 9 pm, Bethesda Baptist Church, 71 Lincoln Ave., New Rochelle. Funeral, Wednesday, 11 am, at the church. Interment, Beechwoods Cemetery. Arrangements, Barney T.
