James W. Gray, 94, native of Bartlesville, Okla., and long-time resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Jan. 27, 2003, in Portland, Texas. Mr. Gray served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II as a glider pilot. He was self-employed as an account, tax consultant and flight instructor. He is survived by his wife, Mary Theresa Gray, of Corpus Christi; a daughter, Marianne Spears, of Greenville; four grandchildren, Kristi Jennings, Frank Spears III, Teri Hennessy and Kathy Ford; and four great-grandchildren, Caroline Jennings, Brittney Spears, Taylor Ford and Brett Ford.
