Port Wentworth - James R. Morris, 90, died Friday, March 14, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Toombs County, GA to Mandal Morris and Mary Davis. He owned and operated for many years the Coastal Fruits on Bay Street in downtown Savannah. He was married to Daisy P. Allen for 71 years. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Gregory Allen Morris; four sisters, Maggie, Estelle, Claudie, Alsie Lee; and two brothers, Bishope and Melvin. Survivors: his wife, Daisy; a son, James E. Morris; a daughter, Marilyn Hadwin; one brother, G.M. Morris; seven grandchildren, Terry M. Grainger, Michael E. McFarlane, James Donald Morris, Stephen Ashley Morris, Walter E. Hadwin, Traci H. Elmgren, and Tammy H. Bunton; 22 great- grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Visitation: 5:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 16, 2003 at Massey Framke Funeral Care. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 17, 2003 at the Massey-Framke Chapel with Rev. Otis Hill officiating.
