He was born November 5, 1915 in Alton, Illinois to the late Joseph and Mary Carpenter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Louise Carpenter.He and his wife had moved to Lee County in 1978 from Louisville, Kentucky. They were members at St. Columbkille Catholic Church. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.There will be a Funeral Mass on Tuesday 1:00PM at St. Columbkille Catholic Church. Interment will be in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Thursday at 1:00PM.Arrangements are being handled by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
