SUPPLE, Mr. James ""Jimmy"" Joel, 84 of Hurtsboro passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Doctors Hospital, Columbus, Ga. Funeral services will be held Thurs-day, March 9, 2006 at 2:00pm CST/ 3:00pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel, 3738 Hwy 431 N, Phenix City, AL 36867 with Minister Ben Slauson officiating. Interment will follow at Hurtsboro City Cemetery at 4:00pm CST/ 5:00pm EST. The family will receive friends Wednes-day 5-7 pm CST at the funeral home. Mr. Supple was born September 15, 1921 in Ramer, AL son of the late James J. Supple and Bertha Moore Supple Moseley. He was an retired engineer with the Alabama High-way Department with 46 years of service. He was a member of Hatchechubbee Church of Christ and a WW II US Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mildred F. Chesnut, two sisters; Elizabeth Register and Bertha Scott; step-brother, John Cleveland Moseley. He is survived by his wife, Louise Hall Supple of Hurtsboro, AL; A daughter, Joanna Holmes and hus-band, Frank of Hoover, AL; Two step-sons; Ron Hughes of Phenix City, AL; Don Hughes and wife, Pam of Hurtsboro, AL; A brother, George Franklin Moseley and wife, Annette of Columbus, GA; 5 grandchildren, Lauren and Stephanie Holmes; Todd Hughes and wife, Kelli; Court-ney Hughes, Angel Fleming and husband, Judah; 3 Great Grand-children; Claire and Hart Hughes, and Ty Fleming; Many nieces and nephews.
