James C. Ingram, of Barnegat, NJ, formerly of Orangeburg, NY, died on Saturday, February 21st at the Atlantic City Medical Center. He was 86 years old. Before retiring, Jim Ingram was a principal with the accounting firm of Peat Marwick Mitchell in Manhattan and was a founding partner in the health care consulting firm of Ingram, Weitzman & Mertens. He had previously retired as Vice President of Finance at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Greater New York. Prior to his long career at Blue Cross, he had been a financial consultant at NYU Medical Center and had served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of Pace University. He had also served as a Trustee on the Board of Nyack Hospital and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Nyack and Christ Episcopal Church of Toms River, NJ. He is survived by his wife Ruth Decker Ingram of Barnegat, NJ; his six children: Scott Ingram of Middletown, DE, Peter Ingram of Huntington, WV, Todd Ingram of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Joan Bowman of Holts Summit, MO, Phyllis Ingram Fischer of Upper Nyack, NY and Liz Walsh of White Plains, NY; and his eleven grandchildren: Jessica, Michael, Cory, Joseph, Drew, Clay, Betsy, Sarah, Kate, Meghan and Colin. Visitation will be at Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack on Wednesday, February 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 26th at Grace Episcopal Church in Nyack.
