J. Ruth Bennett, 100, died March 30, 2012, at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Hay-Madeira House, Stuart. She was born in West New York, N.J., and lived in Stuart for 14 years, coming from Rossmoore, N.J. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her son, Edwin R. Bennett of Stuart; daughter, Joan Broadston of Hesperia, Calif.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
