Frank Williams, 82, of 855 Old Vinland School Road, and husband of the late Betty Caroline McAlister Williams, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 9, 2011.Mr. Williams was born in Pickens County, SC. a son of the late James Andrew and Sarah Kay Williams. He was a 1949 graduate of Clemson University and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Metromont Materials and was a life-long member of Berea First Baptist Church.Surviving are his sons, J. Frank Williams, Jr. and his wife, Vicki, of Simpsonville, SC and Brian Williams, of Fountain Inn, SC; a daughter, Carol W. Bray and Husband, Randy, of Easley, SC; brothers, James Daniel Williams, of York, SC and Kirk Kay Williams, of Easley, SC; sisters, Melissa Looper, of Easley, SC and Lucretia Scarborough, of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Andrew and Nicholas Williams.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by brothers, Braxton H. Williams, Woodrow W. Williams, Robert A. Williams and John Boyce Williams; a sister, Mary Edith Williams and a grandson, Justin Williams Bray.Funeral Services will be 2:30 PM Friday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, with the Reverend Dr. Ronald Vaughan and the Reverend Rick Baumgarner officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.Members of the Johnson - Watkins Sunday School Class at Berea First Baptist Church are invited to serve as Escort of Honor for the funeral service.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to Berea First Baptist Church, 529 Farrs Bridge Road, Greenville, SC 29611.Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, which is assisting the family.
