Ivan L. Smith, 85, Venice, died Dec. 20, 2002. He was born Feb. 15, 1917, in Greeley, Kan., and came to Venice in 1979 from Owasso, Mich. He was a farmer and a member of the Venice-Nokomis Methodist Church. No services are scheduled. Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home, Sarasota, is in charge.
