TODD, Isabel Marie (nee Shearer) Passed away on August 6, 2011 in her eighty-eighth year, in North Vancouver, BC. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Dagmar Shearer; her sister, Irma McFadyen; and her husband, John Todd, with whom she enjoyed fifty-three years of marriage. She will be remembered with love and laughter by her family: Sheila Todd, Harry, Michael and Patrick Brown; Greg, Nana, Matthew and Ashley Todd; Graham Todd; Mary Beth, Jeff, Jessica and Allison Mulock. Born in Shellmouth District, Manitoba, Isabel served in the Canadian Womens' Army Corp during World War II and trained to become a Registered Nurse in London, Ontario. She lived in Toronto and Edmonton, eventually settling with John in Vancouver. She completed her nursing career at Burnaby General Hospital and in retirement enjoyed volunteering at the West Vancouver Seniors Centre. Isabel loved dipping her feet in the ocean but cherished her prairie roots. She was a skilled, creative seamstress and quilter and leaves behind many treasured quilts. The family wishes to thank Dr. Leon Bard, a wonderful and caring physician, and the staff at Inglewood Care Centre. No service by request. Interment will follow in Roblin, Manitoba.
