IRENE WHITMORE Mrs. Irene Whitmore passed away September 21, 2006. She was born September 20, 1924 in Pawtucket, RI and lived in Port St. Lucie, FL for 19 years. Mrs. Whitmore was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union for 47 years and a member of St. Patrick's Women's Guild in St. Patrick's Parish, Somerset, MA. Mrs. Whitmore is survived by: her loving husband of 64 years, Richard; son Ronald (Jeanne) Whitmore of Dighton, MA; daughters Paulette (Joseph) DeAngelis of LaSalle Ontario, Canada, Patricia Steadman of Fall River, MA, and Donna (Peter) Cass of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Christopher, Michelle, Ronald, Joseph, Gweyn, Bryon, and Jaime; and (12) greatgrandchildren. A Funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 24, 2006 at Hardage-Giddens Mandarin Funeral Home. The family would like to express their gratitude to the hospice nurses and PA Shane McClanahan for their kind helpful care during Mrs. Whitmore's illness.
