SMITH, IRENE MAE, 67 Ocala - Irene Mae Smith, 67, of Ocala and formerly of Sarasota, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Legacy House in Ocala. A native of Marlborough, MA., Mrs. Smith was a retired licensed practical nurse. Her career led her, upon moving to Ocala, to Hospice of Marion County in Ocala, a position she held since its early days. Survivors include daughter Stephanie Patmalnee of Ocala; son Danny Smith of Switzerland; sons Mike, Chris and Carl Smith, all of Sarasota; brother Frank Stychynsky of Bradenton; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Luther M. Smith, Jr. on January 16, 2006. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the home of Peggy and John Glanden, 2959 53rd Street in Sarasota.
