Williams, Irene M. RAVENA Irene M. Williams, 88, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011. Irene was born and lived her entire life in Ravena, daughter of the late Clarence and Jessie Marshall Lawson. She was a graduate of Belleview School of Nursing in New York City. She had worked for Albany Medical Center Hospital, and also a librarian at the Ravena Library. Irene was a life member of the Coeymans Ravena Women's Club, former member of the Eastern Star, and a member and Deaconess of the Ravena Congregational Christian Church. Irene was predeceased by her husband Arthur Williams. Survivors include her children, Michael (Peggy) Williams of Fla., Richard (Cora) Williams of Ravena, and Diane (David) Edick of Feura Bush; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Irene is also survived by many dear friends who were the source of great happiness in her life. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Tuesday, April 19, from 11 to 12 noon. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at the Congregational Christian Church, Ravena at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore.
