Irene M. Reidof Island Greenformerly of Endicott, N.YIrene M. Reid, 80, of Island Green, formerly of Endicott, N.Y., died unexpectedly Thursday, December 5, 2002, at Georgetown Hospital. Born April 1, 1922, in Johnson City, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Ruth Sickler Perkins and the late William Montross. She was predeceased by her husband, Robin L. Reid; and a brother, Joseph Montross. Mrs. Reid was an employee of Singer Link for 33 years, then moved to Myrtle Beach, where she lived in Heron Point, and then moved to Island Green, where she was a good neighbor and friend to all she came in contact with. She worked at the Myrtle Beach Indoor Flea Market for several years. Surviving are her son, Robert Reid and his wife Mary Ellen Reid; granddaughter, Lisa Sherman and husband Mike; grandsons, Scott and Kyle Reid; great-granddaughters, Christine and Kathleen Sherman; brother, Robert Montross; sister-in-law, Marion Montross; and special friend, Norbert Gervais.A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
