"Mrs. Irene" (Ellis) Adams, wife of "Mr. Ken" Adams. "Mrs. Irene" was born April 6, 1927, to James Barber Ellis and Elizabeth Tolliver Ellis Fuller, Newport, Ky. She passed away at Flagler Hospital, Oct. 28, 2010."Mr. Ken" and "Mrs. Irene" are the parents of Vicki (Archie) Donaldson of Fleming Island, Fla., and Robert (Margie) Adams of Foster, Ky."Mrs. Irene" and "Mr. Ken" were united in marriage on March 15, 1947, in Newport, Ky., after a courtship of four years and seven months following World War II. "Mrs. Irene" worked for the V.A. Hospital of Ft. Thomas, Ky., for 16 years. Together, "Mrs. Irene" and "Mr. Ken" were shepherds of the "Who-so-ever" Sunday School class of middle-schoolers for 14 years at the Moultrie Baptist Church. "Mrs. Irene" has been released by her family to be embraced by her Lord, Jesus Christ. "Mrs. Irene" was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Ellis.She is survived by her devoted husband, "Mr. Ken"; her two children; and a brother, Henry Lloyd (Dixie) Fuller of Ft. Thomas, Ky.; and several loving nephews and nieces."Mrs. Irene" and "Mr. Ken" are faithful members of Crescent Beach Baptist Church, where the viewing will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor David Beauchamp presiding.
