CARROLL Ms. Irene Carroll passed away Monday, February 24, 2014. She was a loving auntie, great-auntie and caring friend to all who knew her. Irene was born on March 20, 1922 in Birmingham, England to the late Thomas and Polly Leadbetter. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Carroll. She worked at Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville, FL, for over 20years from which she retired. Irene is survived by her nieces Joan (Anthony) Moon, Marina Jones; nephew Barry Pugh; great-nieces Anthea Moon, Janine Moon and her long time partner Elzy Shiver. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and a graveside service on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 2:00pm in Arlington Park Cemetery.
