Irene Carroll, spouse of Chuck Carroll, daughter of John and Anne-Mabel, mother of Rod and Randy, died on April 5, 1938. Please consult the obituary here:
Irene CarrollApril 5, 1938 – April 16, 2014With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Irene Carroll, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully after a 12 year battle with cancer with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 after 76 wonderful years of life. She was predeceased by her parents John and Anne Mabel Kaluza; brothers Joe and Stanley; sister Cecile Zimmer (Don); in- laws Carol Kaluza, Reg LaCharite, Don Zimmer, Ted Chickowski, Bev McCoshin and Wayne Winter. Irene is survived by her husband and best friend of 59 years, Chuck Carroll; sons Randy (Donna) and Rod (Melissa Frank); grandchildren Tyler, Ross and Reeghan Carroll; sisters Agnes (Jim) Horvath and Dorothy Chickowski; in- laws Emilia Kaluza, Annette LaCharite, Judy and Harold Walbaum, Linda Winter, Ellen and George Deneve and Dale McCoshin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Irene was born and raised in Leross, SK. She was very active in sports with a long career in women's softball. An avid golfer, she was a member of the Regina Golf Club for 38 years. Irene's working career spanned over 50 years providing service to both the Provincial Government and Clifton Associates Ltd. Irene will be dearly missed by her loved ones and friends, but her strength and fortitude will live on through us all. A PRAYER SERVICE will be held St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5020 7th Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. A FUNERAL SERVICE CELEBRATING IRENE'S LIFE will be held at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with celebrant Reverend John Weckend. Interment Rites will follow the service at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, Saskatchewan Chapter, http:/ /www.childrenswish.ca/en-sk, 3602 Millar Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7P 0B1.
