AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ira Jean Thompkins Scott departed this life to go be with her Savior, November 21, 2004 at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta. She was a native of Augusta where she attended school and was a 1962 graduate of Lucy Laney High School. She was life long member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church of which Rev. Dr. Sam Davis is pastor. Survivors include several cousins, Elease Davis, Sophia Green, Emma Samuels, Rosa B. Williams, Roberta Williams, Mattie Lou Stokes, Sade Mae Lamar, Myrtle Jackson, Grace Jackson, Purnell Jackson, James Jackson, Billy Jackson, Charles Jackson, Eddie Jackson, devoted godchildren, Mary (Sandie) Mitchell, Chazmine Mitchell, Cedartown, Diedre Kitchens, Antonett Kitchens, Derrick Sowns, Augusta, Robbie Best, Jonesboro, Jamlla Becton, New Jersey. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 12 noon from Beulah Grove Church Rev. Dr. Sam Davis officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, E vans, Ga.
