Ina Faye Smith, 74, Port Charlotte, died Oct. 23, 2005, while visiting family in McAlpin. She was born May 13, 1931, in Fountain Run, Ky., and came to Florida in 1956 from Kentucky. She was a homemaker and worked in a flower factory for a short time in Punta Gorda. Survivors include her husband, George; children Richard Hagen, George and Roger, all of Port Charlotte, Joy Simmons of Spring Hill, Anita Martin of Bell, Hattie Davis of McAlpin, and Doug and Luther, both of Punta Gorda; sisters Margaret Wheeler of Tennessee and Dorothy Tyner, Martha Ewers and Fletta Jackson, all of Punta Gorda; brothers David Russell of Sarasota, Paul Russell Sr. of Punta Gorda, Johnny Russell of Eustis, Homer Russell and Larry Russell, both of Port Charlotte, and Robert Russell of Leesburg; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, Punta Gorda Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Indian Springs Cemetery.
