Ida-Mae Smith, born in 1907, spouse of Orland-B. Smith, daughter of Joel and Emma-Elizabeth-Bliss, mother of Shannon, Stacey, Carrice, Erin, Starley, Timothy, Calif, Kristin, Thomas, Colo, Callie, Kevin, Alex, Mo, Warson, Edward and Barbara, died on February 12, 2006 at 98 years old. Ida Mae Smith, 98, Springfield, passed away at 4:00 a.m. Sunday, February 12, 2006, in St. John's Regional Health Center. She was born March 23, 1907, in Springfield, the daughter of Joel Carrice and Emma Elizabeth Bliss Delo. She was a graduate of Springfield Senior High Class of 1924. After attending Business College, she worked in the offices of Springfield Wholesale Grocers. She was a member of the Old First Presbyterian Church and for the past 75 years, a charter member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Antique Art Appreciation Group of SMMA, the Missouri State Pharmacy Association Women's Auxiliary and Chapter FU of PEO. She was united in marriage to Orland B. Smith on September 2, 1928, who preceded her in death August 18, 1995. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, George and Jack Delo and an infant sister, Frances. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Moore and husband, Edward L., Warson Woods, Mo. three grandsons and their families, Mark and Mimi Moore and their children, Alex, Kevin and Callie, all of Denver, Colo. David and Cheryl Moore and their children, Thomas and Kristin, all of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Timothy and Starley Moore and their children, Erin and Shannon, all of Danville, Calif. sister-in-law, Lillian Delo Carter, Springfield a nephew and his wife, Jack and Sherry Delo, St. Louis, and their daughters, Stacey and Carrice. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2006, in First and Calvary Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Alf Halvorson officiating, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. A reception will follow the services in the Atrium of the church. Graveside committal services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, in Ash Grove Cemetery, Ash Grove, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orland B. and Ida Mae Smith Memorial Fund at First and Calvary Presbyterian Church or Community Hospices of America.
