-> Ida Mae Best Jones, 82, died December 21, 2005 after an extended illness. She was born December 3, 1923 in Bulloch County, but lived in Savannah all of her adult life. Ida was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-mother. Her husband , Harold Jones, preceded her in death. She was an active member of Jasper Springs Baptist Church, the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the Prime Timers. Ida was a homemaker who excelled in sewing and perfecting special recipes that continue to be enjoyed and treasured by the family. Survivors: her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Sandy Jones, her grandson and wife, Bryan and Amy Jones and great-grandson Brycen; her granddaughter and husband, Erin and Brian Williams and great-granddaughter, Kayden; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 23 at Jasper Springs Baptist Church in Garden City. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will return to the Church after the burial for a dinner and friends and family are all welcome.
