Ida Jane Hall 1923 - 2010 HOOSICK FALLS, NY Ida Jane Adams Hall went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2010, at the Danforth Adult Care Center in Hoosick Falls, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Greenwich on June 8, 1923, to William Alvin Adams and Ethel Ida Cook Adams, she attended school in White Creek and graduated from Hoosick Falls High School. Ida attended Hudson Valley Community College, where she learned to fix commercial sewing machines and prepare income taxes. Ida also owned the Shell Station in Shaftsbury, Vt., with her first husband, Damasse "Cy" LaFlamme. She worked as a real estate agent and worked at both the Thomson Mill in Bennington and retired from Tansitor Electronics.She married William N. "Stub" Hall in Easton on Sept. 1, 1958. Her main interests were her family and friends. She volunteered at the Harvest Soup Kitchen, PAVE, the Bennington Museum in the Genealogical Dept., and Harvest Prison Ministry.She leaves her husband, William N. "Stub" Hall of Easton; four sons, Joseph and Becky LaFlamme of Pittsfield, Mass., Chris and Sharon LaFlamme of Eagle Bridge, L. Rodney and Karen LaFlamme of Eagle Bridge, and Charles "Hap" Hall and friend, Marcy Darling, of Cambridge; three daughters, Mary and Bob Gratz of Shaftsbury, Vt., Antoinette "Toni" and Eugene Vogt of Hoosick Falls, and Susan and R. Lester Blocker of Salem; a brother, Charles Adams of Hudson Falls; and a sister, Helen LeBarron of North Carolina. Ida also leaves over 20 grandchildren, over 30 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Lewis Adams.MEMORIAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 648 South St., Hoosick, NY 12089, on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Dale E. Hall officiating. The burial will follow in Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge, NY.In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ida Jane Adams Hall may be made to either the First Baptist Church in Hoosick, NY, to be used for expenses on their van, the Harvest House Soup Kitchen or the Activites Dept. at the Danforth Adult Care Home in Hoosick Falls, NY through the office of the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 628 Main St., Bennington, VT 05201.
