Ida Cary Smith, 98, Sarasota, died Dec. 18, 2004. She was born June 22, 1906, in Wilkensburg, Pa., and came to Sarasota in 1969 from Fort Thomas, Ky. She was a member of Bee Ridge Presbyterian Church. Survivors include daughters Cary Stinespring of Sarasota and Ginny Jamieson of Cave Creek, Ariz.; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services and burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sarasota Memorial Park. Hawkins Funeral Home is in charge.
