Smith, Ida A. BALLSTON SPA Ida A. Smith, 90, died February 9, 2007 at Wesley HCC in Saratoga Springs. Born and raised in Ballston Spa, Ida was the daughter of Adelbert and Lillian (Sundloff) Armstrong and sister of the late Mary Armstrong Smith. She was valedictorian of her high school class and a graduate of the State College for Teachers in Albany. Ida was a homemaker and librarian for the Albany Public Library at School 19. She was the widow of Thomas F. Smith and the mother of Pat Janssen, Kingston, Katy (Paul) Bergh, Ballston Spa; Mike (Maureen) Smith, Stillwater and Jim Smith, Ballston Spa. Also survived by her grandchildren, Mike and Laura Delehanty, Kris Neddo, Karen Totino, Jessica and Casey Smith, as well as great-grandchildren, Theron, Ben, Jacob, Lydia and Bela. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Ballston Spa. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations to Wesley HCC, 131 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 in Ida's memory and in honor of the staff who provided such loving care.
