Olive, AL;sons, Ivan Russ Smith (Karen)of Forestdale, Randy LeeSmith (Michele) of Childersburg, Kenneth Ray Smith ofAuburn; step-daughter, Stephanie Brooke Lancaster(Brian) of Gardendale; brother, Keith Smith (Frances) ofDouglasville, GA; sister-in-law,Nancy Smith of Trussville; sister, Barbara Smith of Birmingham; grandchildren, DanaBurke, Stephanie Smith, BreeMiller, Lexie Lancaster, Megan Irby, and Brooke Harvey;great-grandchild, DrewBurke; step-great-grandchild,Connor Davis. Dr. Smith retired from the Alabama ArmyNational Guard as MajorGeneral Commander of the167 COSCOM in Birminghamwith over 38 years of service.Dr. Smith graduated fromJacksonville State Universitywhere he earned AB Degreein Chemistry & BS Degree inPsychology in 1951. Dr. Smithgraduated from the Universityof Alabama, DMD, 1957. Dr.Smith practiced Dentistry inChildersburg, AL from 1957-1995.
